About Greg Wilson, CAE, MPPA

 I began my career in California nonprofit management in 1999 and bring more than 25 years of experience working with both 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) organizations. My background spans nonprofit executive leadership, strategic planning, communications, legislative advocacy, governance, finance, operations, risk management, human resources, and regulatory compliance. This broad experience gives me a practical, well-rounded perspective on the complex challenges nonprofit executives and boards face. 

 I earned two master’s degrees from California State University Sacramento – one in English, and one in Public Policy & Administration. I also earned a Certificate from the University of South Florida in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace, and hold the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives. I also served as the Board Chair of the California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE, now known as Associations West) in 2013.

I take a holistic and personalized approach to consulting with nonprofit organizations. I work closely with executives and boards to understand their goals, challenges, culture, and opportunities, then develop practical strategies, policies, and solutions tailored to their needs and long-term interests. My approach is collaborative, transparent, and results-driven, with an emphasis on strengthening governance, improving organizational effectiveness, and helping leaders make thoughtful, informed decisions.
